Calamari is a classic seafood that’s loved for its mild, slightly sweet flavor and pleasantly chewy texture! Our premium wild calamari steaks are perfect for serving as an entrée. You can simply grill or sauté them, or bread in panko or traditional bread crumbs and fry or bake them. Dress with lemon caper sauce, traditional marinara or a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. For an appetizer, you can bread and fry the steaks whole and then cut them into strips for serving, or cut the steaks into strips first, then bread and fry the individual strips. We’ve seen it done both ways in restaurants – it’s just a matter of your preference. To bring a bit of Hawaiian flavor into your kitchen, try one of our favorite dishes: fry calamari in panko and shredded coconut and serve with pineapple salsa, plum sauce, or a mixture of guava jam and mayo!
