Salmon poke pieces

Salmon Poke Pieces

Poke, which means “to cut into pieces,” is as culturally significant to Hawaii as hamburgers are to the mainland. Dating back to the islands’ first Polynesian settlers, the dish combined chunks of reef fish, seaweed, kukui nuts and salt. Although Ahi eventually replaced reef fish as modern fishing techniques emerged, today’s many variations of poke feature salmon, scallops, shrimp & more.

From Chilean farmed salmon, these poke pieces offer a firm yet buttery texture, wonderful flavor and great fat content. They are pre-cut and individually quick-frozen (IQF) before being vacuum sealed in 1-lb packs. Obviously perfect for poke, but you can also use them for salmon stacks, tartare, ceviche, seafood salads, stir fry and more!

Wynns Kitchen Sate Asian Chili

Wynn’s Kitchen Saté Asian Chili Sauce

Based in San Diego, CA, Wynn’s Kitchen is on a mission to share authentic Asian flavors made from all natural and organic ingredients.

The complex, bold flavor and kick of heat in Wynn’s Saté Asian Chili Sauce will instantly elevate your food to the next level! Crafted without MSG, sugar, soy, gluten or artificial preservatives, this sauce may be used with seafood, meats, eggs, noodles, rice dishes and so much more. Incorporate it as a cooking ingredient or enjoy as a condiment or dipping sauce. Besides being naturally delicious, it also happens to be Keto and Paleo! We particularly love it brushed over grilled fish, scallops and shrimp, spooned into shrimp Pad Thai and stir fries, or served with fresh oysters as an interesting alternative to cocktail sauce. We also suggest adding some Saté Asian Chili Sauce to melted butter and serving with broiled lobster!

Ingredients: Grapeseed Oil, Shallots, Jalapenos, Lime Juice, Dry Chili Flakes, Coconut Aminos (Coconut Nectar, Coconut Blossom Sap, Salt), Fish Sauce (Anchovy, Salt), Lemongrass, Garlic, Salt, Thai Chilis.

About Wynn’s Kitchen

Wynn’s Kitchen was founded by a San Diego mom, Wynn Austin. In 2016, Wynn started suffering from anxiety despite being an avid tennis player. Desperate to feel better, she focused on eating healthier, by cutting out sugar, and focusing on whole foods. Although her health improved, she was craving Asian food. Once she started reading the nutritional labels, she realized most of the Asian sauces that she used to cook with contained sugar, gluten, and/or preservatives. She noticed a huge void in the marketplace. In her home kitchen she created the first batch of her Saté Sauce, made with all natural ingredients, with no added sugar.

Spot Prawns (Amaebi), Live

Spot prawns are alive when packed for shipping. Due to their delicate nature we do not guarantee they will be live upon delivery. They will, however, be fresh and safe to eat upon delivery.

Our spot prawns, also known as sweet shrimp, are responsibly trap-harvested off the coast of Southern California from mid-February into the fall. We receive them live, store them live in our tanks, and carefully package them per order to ensure that they arrive fresh at your door.

Spot prawns have the sweetest taste of any shrimp with a soft lobster-like texture and silky finish. They are quite popular in sushi bars, where they are known as amaebi. Their ample tails are commonly eaten raw as sashimi or sushi, while the heads are often deep fried and enjoyed whole. Alternatively, you can grill or boil these shrimp as you would other types of shrimp, or use them for shrimp tempura! Making paella? Top with a few cooked spot prawns for the ultimate presentation!

Please note that spot prawns are not all the same size and we cannot guarantee the number of shrimp you will receive. The average size is typically 7-10 shrimp per pound; however, at times they do run larger at 5-7 shrimp per pound.
