Baja Hiramasa featured at Chef’s Plate 7 Napa

By Rebecca Gardon

Earlier this week we were proud sponsors of another Chef’s Roll Chef’s Plate event. The delicious battle for the Chef’s Plate 7 title took place in Napa between Chef Jeff Mosher of Robert Mondavi Winery and Chef Robert Wallace from the Napa Valley Wine Train (subbing for Chef Kelly MacDonald). For the head-to-head appetizer course we provided Baja Seas Hiramasa, a sustainable farm-raised sushi-grade yellowtail from Baja California.

As always, it was a very tight race, but ultimately Chef Mosher scored the Chef’s Roll trophy, a handmade James Cosimini chef’s knife, a handcrafted Fullgive Leather knife roll, a Golden Ticket to compete in the World Food Championships for a chance to win $100,000, and a commemorative bottle of Nolet’s Gin. Congrats to both chefs for a job well done!
