South America is home to several species of sea urchins, where colder equatorial waters produce a premium uni (B Grade) that we offer as an alternative to our California Premium uni.
An excellent choice for uni sushi, this uni provides good color and ranges in flavor from salty to slightly sweet. In South America, uni is typically enjoyed with a spritz of lemon. It’s also a popular addition to Latin-inspired seafood dishes and salads. For maximum enjoyment consume fresh uni within 3-5 days upon delivery.
